Everyone knows that international phone calls are quite expensive. Although the Internet provides several free alternatives, your friends or family members need to be in front of a computer at all times. If you wish to call people in other countries without making a huge hole in your budget, you can use Nymgo. It gives you the possibility of making cheap phone calls anywhere in the world, from your computer. You can also send messages, save contacts in a phone book and more.

The application itself is free, but you have to buy credit if you wish to make phone calls. If you buy credit or perform other actions, you will receive Hello points, which can be redeemed for extra credit. Nymgo's setup file is roughly 15 and a half MB. A wizard will guide you through a simple setup procedure, after which you must create an online account.

When launched, the application will ask you for your login credentials. The user interface displays a map of the world and a dial pad. You can form a phone number by clicking the numbers on the dial pad or by typing them. If you make a phone call, Nymgo will trace a route between the source and destination on the map. The software also allows you to record the conversations, which are stored automatically on the hard drive, in WAV format.

A country's code must be included in the phone number. When you type the code, the application will automatically display its corresponding country and how much it costs to call in that country. If you don't know a country's code, you can look for it on the map. All you have to do is type in the country's name and hit the enter key. The software will center the map on that country and it will display its code and prices, as well as an option for adding the code to the dialer.

The map can be replaced with a contacts list at any time. Options for calling and sending a message can be found next to each entry. It is possible to send a message to multiple contacts in a single run. You just need to add each contact to the queue, by clicking their message options.
